Our Approach

We believe in serving only the freshest ingredients to our customers. Our fresh produce, meat, and seafood is delivered daily, and we create many of our sauces and spices by hand. We never use MSG in any of our dishes, and don't serve "buffet" style, preferring instead to make your food fresh to order.

Our Chinese dishes run the gamut from classic favorites, like Sweet and Sour Chicken, to original recipes, like War Sui Har. Our Thai cuisine is authentic: a delicate balance of fresh flavors. Thai food is traditionally a spicy cuisine! But we want you to enjoy your meal to the fullest, so we will customize the level of heat to meet your needs. We are also happy to recommend gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan and vegetarian choices for you.

Our Story

When Golden Moon founder, Nat Soontornvat, visited Weatherford, Texas in the early 1980's, he knew that this was the community where he wanted to start his own business. Golden Moon's doors opened in 1983, when the town was still a rather sleepy place. Since then, Weatherford has grown tremendously, but the warmth and friendliness of the community hasn't changed. These days, we even have customers driving from across the Metroplex to dine with us, and we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome them in our restaurant.

It isn't common these days to have a restaurant stay in business for over 30 years, and we are so thankful to our loyal customers for supporting us in every way. Our regular customers have become like family to us, visiting us every week, and we have loved seeing their children grow up and bring their own children to eat with us.
